Body Marinade Hand sanitizer

I am a fan of Body Marinade on Facebook.  I don't know how I found the site but Im glad I did.  They were holding a contest to choose a random product tester of a 2oz Hand sanitizer and I got chosen.  I recieved my hand sanitizer about a week ago and have tried it everyday since.  The flavor I was given was almond.  While Im not of fan of the scent almond, it smells pretty good.  I have tried the other scented hand sanitizers from the grocery stores and they still always have the alcohol smell to it and dry my hands out and I don't like that and as a result I don't use them as much, but the Body Marinade sanitizer does not.  It smells pretty good, can't smell the alcohol at all.  After using this for a week now my hands aren't dry at all. They actually feel like they are mosturized which is awesome. My birthday is coming up in a few months and I think I'm gonna request some more products from Body Marinade as gifts, as well as give my family members gifts from there.  They arent expensive at all.

so behind

I am so behind in my reading.. It is amazing how much you lose just missing one day of reading.  I am still in Dueteronomy while everyone is already in Judges.  Part of my wants to just quit where I am at and just start where everyone else is.  But I havent done that and I wont.  I want to be able to read the whole bible.  Its alright if I am a little behind I will not cheat myself and miss out on any of the amazing history that I am learning.  Im excited that I found this group and it is helping my stay accountably.  I realized I never posted the link or anything to the group so here it is.  It is a great site for christian moms.

I dont want to do it

Im kinda behind on my reading.  I have been alone with the kids all weekend and havent had a free moment to even use the bathroom let alone read 5-10 chapters of the bible a day.  Here it is almost 8pm and I havent done my reading for the day.  I find it kinda funny that I can read a 200+ page book in just a week but am having a hard time reading a few chapters of the bible.  I just am really struggling with reading on a daily basis.  But the good part is, is that I am not giving up and even if I only get through just a few chapters a day at least I am still reading it.  This is one journey that I will not give up on. It might take me a bit more than 90 days to do this but thats ok with me as long as I get this done.  Well I'm signing off now so that I can get my reading done without the distractions of the computer.

Sheet Music

I was reading a christian bookstore flyer and I saw the book Sheet Music by Kevin Leman.  I have read some of his other books and so last weekend I picked up the book and have read it all.  I read most of it in one day but finished it within a week.  I definately would recommend this book, to engaged couples, newly married couples or even couples who've been married for a while.  It has changed the way I view intimacy with my husband.  I like that it is based on christian beliefs so its not a worldly book about sex but has more of a christian view.  It is a bit on the graphic side and some people might be offended by the descriptions of some scenerios but it is straight to the point and I like that he doesnt sugar coat such a touchy topic in the christian world.  I agree with pretty much the whole book and have seen myself in some of the scenerios and have realized that I do need to change.  It is a book that I am gonna pass on to my husband so that he can read it too and get a new perspective on our intimacy along with me.  This is a really great book.

On my own

I am on my own with 3 boys.  3 boys under the age of 6.  3 boys under the age of 6 for the whole weekend.  My husband and his family are in Key west to spread the ashes of his grandfather.  Kinda sucks that I am unable to go and am stuck at home with the kids with no kind of break.  I want to be there for my husband and be the supportive wife to him.  I guess in a different way than I thought I am being supportive because it is allowing him to be able to be with his family without having to worry about where the kids are and having to stress out about them behaving and stuff like that.  It is hard though that I am alone with the kids.  Yeah they are mine and I should be enjoying this time but being a stay at home mom I dont get any breaks during the day and I just get drained.  I have made myself stop expecting it to be so stressful and today actually went pretty well.  I am expecting tomorrow to go well too.  If I go into the day feeling like its gonna be a crappy day then well it is but if I expect it to be fun and go good then thats what will happen.

Moms Together

I am always looking for groups of moms that I can talk with and get advice and just to learn that I am not alone in my day to day struggles with being a mom.  I came upon this one group on facebook and I love it.  I love reading the discussions that are going on.  And the women that are a part of it are all nice and it is just a great way to build more relationships with other moms.  It is a group that I go to on a daily basis to see what is going on.  They also have a few bloggers on there that have really good articles in them that I really enjoy reading and relating with.

Yesterday was mine and Johns anniversary.  We have been married for 6 years.  He really is just the love of my life.  He is my everything and I am thankful that God blessed me with him for a husband.  I would be lost without him.
Johns parents offered to take the boys friday night and bring them back saturday afternoon. Boy was that much needed.  It was so nice to just be me and him for even a few hours.  I love my kids and all but I do need some adult time with my hubby.  We went out to eat at stonewood restaurant.  That is a nice restaraunt.  Nice environment, great food.  After that we went to barnes and noble just to walk around and look at books.  We even each got a few things, he got a planner and a book on networking and I got The Strong-Willed child by Dr Dobson.  I love his books, and I also got Sheet Music by Kevin Leman.  I will be reading and doing reviews on those.  Saturday morning we had pancakes and went to target.  Which was an expereince in itself because when we go to target we usually only go to the toy section lol.  This time we stood away from there.  We looked at bedding, and kitchen stuff and just talked and hung out.  It sure did mean a lot to me that we had that time together.  We ended up buying a vacuum ( a dirt devil one that was on clearance for 11 dollars because it was replaced with an updated model) and some running stuff.  I think im gonna try to start running again and get back into shape.  I really enjoyed my weekend and I look forward to another date with my hubby.  Im in love

week 2

So I am starting week 2 on my Bible in 90 days journey.  I am a few chapters behind, I had a busy weekend. (Hey it was my anniversary!)  But I am amazed at all the history I am learning.  I have heard the basic bible stories, like Adam and Eve, Noahs Ark, Moses, and so forth, but actually reading the details of it brings a lot more understanding into the stories.  And I am amazed at the faith the people had back then.  If only I would have the faith as strong as they did my life would be so much better I think.  There is some stuff that I think I would struggle doing that they did without question.
I am still having a hard time finding the time to sit down and actually read it all at once, but I think I am gonna break it up over the day so that it isnt all at one time which is hard to do with my kids being kids.  But I have done reading everyday, even if it isnt as much as the assignment suggested.  I didnt want to do it yesterday, I was having a very stressful day and didnt feel like doing anything but I knew that if I didnt read at least some of it I would be even further behind and that would stress me out more so I sucked it up and did some, I felt better afterwards which is a good thing.  Now I feel like I actually know what they are talking about when I am at church.

Im going on a date =)

With my hubby that is.  We have not been out on a date since our anniversary...Last year..Its our anniverasary on sunday so we are going out tonight.  Im excited because I am home all day everyday with our kids and I could really use this break, and what better way to have a break than with the man I love.  I do want to go on more dates than just once a year but it is hard having 3 kids and not having all the extra money, so my mission is to find cheap or free dates for us to do at least once a month.  I think it is important to spend that time with him so that we can connect as husband and wife and not just mother and father of 3 kids.  I have no idea where we are going we will figure that out later but I am looking forward to it.  Im in love.

Bible in 90 days

So I keep finding things for me to try to accomplish and I keep failing at them. Here's something new that I found. This is something I would really love to finish. I have been a Christian since I was like 16 but have never read the bible cover to cover. Or even on a regular basis. I found a link on one of my facebook pages for a group called Bible in 90 days. So I signed up. I really like that there are groups to help hold me accountable. That is what I need to actually finish something. I have already done 2 days of reading. It is a lot of reading too. Only 2 days into this and I finished genesis 28. That's farther than I have ever read!! And I'm not reading this just to say I read the bible in 90 days but I am reading it so that I can learn more about God and all the wonderful things he has done. I have to say at first it is a little hard because there's a lot of this person begat this person who begat this person and so forth. But that information is important. I would love to see or do a family tree like thing to see the generations and the history. It would be amazing. And I know that if my kids see me reading the bible on a daily basis it will be an example for them to be able to do the same. This journey could be a great one for my family. There is a bible that I would love to get so that I can just read with that. I just might get it for myself :)

I Quit

So I haven't made any progress in my journey to quit drinking soda so I give up. I am drinking less soda and more water so I guess that's a step in the right direction but there's no way I'll accomplish this in 30 days. Maybe by the end of the year but not right now. If I could find a substitute for the caffeine. I don't drink coffee or tea so those are both out. Maybe also if I had someone help hold me accountable. But I can't play the if only game.
